As a development team we have all attended one of the Taste festival be it London, Dublin or Bath. This years London festival was fantastic with plenty of great dishes to taste, one of the dishes that stood out for me was braised pork risotto from Tristan Welch at Launceston Place.

We are all avid followers of the Great British menu; it’s a constant source of debate in the development kitchen. We have been comparing the chefs and the restaurants we have visited.
I have visited the Hardwick at Abergavenny, owned by Stephen Terry who won the Welsh heat. The atmosphere and décor were fantastic and the choice of local real ales was great!
Some of the highlights included a Duck confit hash with fried egg, Roasted local pork, however not a patch on my dessert. Stem Ginger panna cotta with Rhubarb this was sensational.
Not sure which restaurant is next but I’m keen to continue the great British Menu tour!
