To read more click here BAR Foods Launch Mixed Soup Case \| Sep 09 BAR Foods have launched a Chefs’ Selection Soup Box, which is a mixed soup case with fantastic benefits for today’s busy Kitchens. The frozen soups are individually portioned with 18 months shelf life. The box is one price and not bespoke creating no stock liability to the customer. The flavours have been developed to follow seasonal ingredients and takes into consideration end consumers’ tastes. Within the box there are 3 soup flavours, one of which will always be tomato. To read more click here BFFF Sucess for BAR Foods Products \| Jul 09 BAR Foods are celebrating their recent success at the British Frozen Food Federation 2009 Annual awards, where they scooped 2 bronze awards. The first within the Best New Multi-Portion Product for Lamb Tagine supplied to Ikea Restaurants. The second in the Best New Accompaniment / Potato / Vegetable Product for Onion Marmalade, this is supplied to the Table Table pub restaurant chain operated by Whitbread. BPEX Sucess for BAR Foods Products \| Feb 09 BAR are proud to announce they have a Gold Medal for our "Pork Steak in a creamy mushroom, bacon and tarragon sauce" in the Best Pork ready meal category. Also within the same catefory our "Smoked Chilli Pork Belly" was awarded the Silver Medal. The BPEX (British Pork executive) foodservice awards is providing great recognition for Pork products within the foodservice arena. Matt Cox \| Aug 09 The development team recently created a Taste of London sample box. We recieved some great feedback on the products and were really pleased with the innovative products created. Paul Docking \| December 08 For the second year running the BAR Foods Chefs have featured on the Company Christmas Card. This year was a lot of fun as we ran a caption competition, which resulted in quite a bit of banter in the kicthen. Geoff Cantillion \| June 08 As a development team we have all attended one of the Taste festival be it London, Dublin or Bath. This years London festival was fantastic with plenty of great dishes to taste, one of the dishes that stood out for me was braised pork risotto from Tristan Welch at Launceston Place. Tony Badham \| Apr 08 We are all avid followers of the Great British menu; it’s a constant source of debate in the development kitchen. We have been comparing the chefs and the restaurants we have visited. I have visited the Hardwick at Abergavenny, owned by Stephen Terry who won the Welsh heat. The atmosphere and décor were fantastic and the choice of local real ales was great! Some of the highlights included a Duck confit hash with fried egg, Roasted local pork, however not a patch on my dessert. Stem Ginger panna cotta with Rhubarb this was sensational. Not sure which restaurant is next but I’m keen to continue the great British Menu tour! Aisling Kemp \| Oct 07 Following the launch of our Menu Selections offer to the market we have received a fantastic response and the products are selling well.
