Bar and Restaurant Foods is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Pearce as Purchasing Manager. Ben joins Bar & Restaurant Foods, following the retirement of Ray Drury. Going forward the Purchasing Manager will work closely with the development, production and technical teams to ensure products are sourced inline with customer requirements.

Ben previously worked for Northern Foods at the Pork Farms site Trowbridge which is the biggest Pork Pie Factory in Europe producing mainly for JS and M&S.  At the Pork Farms Ben was responsible for sourcing and procuring all ingredients and packaging items for the site. Previous to this Ben also worked in the Technical Department as Materials Manager. The experience has provided Ben with a sound appreciation of all requirements within a food focused business.

The role of purchasing manager is seen as a key player in the achievement of overall company goals for Bar and Restaurant Foods and Tim Barker, Operations director had the following to say regarding the new appointment. “We feel that the role of purchasing is critical in achieving our overall company strategy by driving innovation and building and maintaining our supplier relationships. Therefore we Welcome Ben to Bar Foods”.

A key focus of the purchasing role will be to forge strong supplier relationships to ensure Bar and Restaurant Foods remain the supplier of quality food solutions, by driving innovation and ensuring products match customer’s expectations.
